Asyraf, nicknamed Asyer (stylised in lowercase). A Malacca-born tech enthusiast that indulges in house music. I am a firstborn son of three. This web domain has been my blogging space since 2020. Take a look around.
With the ever expanding trend of internet culture that
keeps reshaping the generation, the drive for originality
seems to fade from the minds of our people. Our youths
seem to have an affinity to copy what each other deem
relevant to the current times. I am not a contrarian,
but I do personally believe that people should try to
paint their own canvas. There is no wrong in trying to
fit in with the society or follow trends, but the
excessive need for commonality our youths seem to possess
starts to negatively impact the way young people see
themselves online. As this phenomenon continues, the
only outcome is a homogeneous society that can easily
be manipulated and controlled.
The concept of morality is slowly being dissolved into the matter of the past.
We have come to a point where basic decency is in scarcity. The vocal and influential
are injecting their thoughts into the media where the young and impressionable are
abundant. They have successfully alienated the concept of shame. Is it modernisation
or societal degeneration?
